Context: Hawai‘i Youth Symphonyʻs annual He Makana O Na Mele: The Gift of Music fundraiser is crucial for supporting their work of music education for students across Hawai‘i. Pivoting from their traditional in-person gala in 2020, 2021, and 2022, the organization needed to maintain connection with their community of donors while encouraging a shift of focus from an in-person event to a new televised event. This email marketing campaign, consisting of 5 strategic emails, not only encouraged connection but also increased engagement, utilizing multiple ways for existing and new donors to be involved, including an online silent auction, watch parties for the televised segment, and phone or online donations.
